The department involves 57 hospital cots and occupies a separate second floor of the three-floored corpus. The department provides noctidial help to emergency patients with isolated, concomitant and combined injuries. The department was established in 1968 by the order of Ministry of public health № 757. Medical help for patients is provided by doctors who have taken specialization courses in the major traumatology centers of Kazakhstan and Russia.
The department involves 20 wards, the block of intensive therapy with two separate wards. 3 operating rooms are provided for the division. Two of them involve image intensifiers and one of them is for endoprosthesis. The presence of the block of intensive therapy involving noctidial regular nursery post allows to considerably improve the state of patients after the operation by decreasing the number of postoperational complications
New methods of treatment – in the short time interval after receiving the injury- as blocking cannulated and non cannulated intramedullary ostheosynthesis of open and closed bone fractures of lower extremities, apparatus of external fixation, plate fixation systems with angular stability, endoprosthesis of hip joint, metal osteosynthesis of hip bones, methods of working with soft tissues are widely used in the department, own experience of operating with apparatus of vacuum drainage, with the simultaneous use of restorative-rehabilitative Artromot apparatus – all this modern methods and innovative technologies allow returning the operability of the patient in the shortest time interval and decrease the period of staying in the hospital, which coincides with all modern trends of traumatology. Operations are free, as they carried out within the national program.
